….that’s basically because we haven’t been travelling on the boat much of late. In August, Nick and the family came to visit from the USA. They were staying in Coventry and we moored up in Calcutt Marina while they were visiting as it is reasonably near Coventry.
Then in September, we flew to the USA to stay with them and we have been here for almost 7 weeks now, but will be returning home soon to Brandy Pad.
Last night was Halloween. Not such a big thing in the UK, of course, but it is a VERY big thing over here. We think it may be because it is one holiday (although it isn’t actually a holiday) that everybody can enjoy. Also, memories of all that candy (sweets) from when you were a child obviously linger in people’s minds. So don’t make the mistake of thinking it is only for the kids over here – it isn’t and adults have great fun too……
