Plans huh?

Well, I’ve mentioned before that plans are a waste of time as they mostly fail. Today is a classic. We had planned to move on from Trinity Marina and head down the Ashby Canal towards Coventry. We didn’t actually intend to go far, but even that modest aim has been foiled. It turns out there is a tree down across the canal just about where we were aiming for today (between Bridges 8 & 9 for those that know the canal – and some of our followers do). We had been about to set off when another boat that had left earlier this morning returned and warned us about the obstruction. He had to reverse for around one and a half miles before he could turn round again. Thanks for the warning “Gordon Bennett”.

One response to “Plans huh?”
