Brandy Pad is now moored up in Droitwich Spa Marina for the winter. We decided that we would move ashore for the winter months. We don’t mind the ice, cold and weather, but have had enough of long, dark, winter evenings onboard for now.
Last week we came down the Tardebigge flight, Stoke flight and Astwood flight. 43 locks in all, which we managed to progress through quickly with the aid of brother Tony and sister in law Cathy. With four people instead of just two of us it made the whole operation much quicker and easier. So much so, in fact, that we made it into the marina a day earlier than planned!
You can probably tell, from the photos, that it was rather cold, but at least it wasn’t wet.
We had to clear the Tardebigge flight before Monday 4th November as the flight has now closed for repairs over the next few months.
So, no more posts for the next few months, but we haven’t gone away. We will be heading off on our travels again next spring. Look out for more blogs then. Bye.
Going somewhere hot?
Glad you had a crew for Tardebigge, we know how much easier it makes it!Enjoy your break ashore.Best wishes & see you soon.
