We are currently moored up in Salthouse Dock (next to Albert Dock) at Liverpool. The journey to the moorings from the Leeds and Liverpool canal takes quite a long time and involves going down through several locks (37 ft down between the first four).
So, here is another video, taken on the journey so that you can share the experience. It is quite long (over 5 minutes), but it is difficult to reduce over two hours down to much less. Needless to say, a lot of it is speeded up.
Congratulations ,and well done . Quite an experience being on board with you… We will be doing it for real tomorrow in Kiel.. Trust the captain and qm will do as good a job, love Mum and. Huw xxxx
Great video – glad you found your way through what looks to be a maze of docks.
Great video , lovely travelling with you,
thanks, Huw and Julie x
memories eh?
Sections of that journey remind me of arriving in Liverpool en route to Corps camp – circa 1974! Great camerawork and navigation, Chris and Helen. Most impressed…
