We are currently on the “Middle Levels Navigation”, and visitor moorings are – let’s just say very few. The last one we passed was already occupied by two boats, so for the first time we have had to just stop and tie up to the bank. Once you find a bit that you can actually get close to, it then becomes a question of can you get your mooring stakes into the ground safely?

We don’t like having to do this as this is someone’s land, but it is only overnight and we hardly set foot on the bank, once we have the stakes in.
