A view from the top of the aqueduct today – a beautiful, spring morning (click on the images for a larger picture):

It was, however, rather windy.  In fact it was pretty much blowing a gale, which is unnerving when you are looking at a view like this from the stern:

Far below, the River Dee – and yes, those are full grown trees down there, not bushes!

You can see how thin the offside edge of the aqueduct is.  You take comfort from the fact that thousands of boats have crossed this over the years, but it is still pretty scary.  Not least because at least two people fell to their deaths from here in 2016. (Not, however, from boats).
