Had a lot of fun yesterday (Saturday 25th June). We received our first visitors to Brandy Pad. It was a Bluewater Boats open day and we were there to meet potential new customers for Bluewater and show them around our under-construction boat. We were able to strike up conversations with the visitors, who didn’t know it was our boat. This led to interesting discussions about the layout and facilities we have planned, before we revealed we were the owners. Everyone I spoke to was very interested in our ideas and thoughts – after all they will have to be thinking about the same issues themselves soon. The composting toilet idea was of particular interest to several people.
It was great to see how much Brandy Pad has come on – most of the lining is fitted and bulkheads are in place. This gave us our first real taste of the space inside. Helen enjoyed her first cup of coffee on-board, even though the boat itself is still on blocks in the workshop.
