Visited Brandy Pad recently to discuss a few things with Bluewater Boats and see how things are progressing.  Not a whole lot to see at the moment, but pretty much all the wiring is now in place.

There is a surprising amount of wire to go in – a mixture of 240v and 12v.  From the outside there are navigation lights, bulkhead lights, satellite receiver, GSM antenna and GPS receiver.  It all adds up.

We have also now decided to reverse an earlier decision and add solar panels.  Although we will mainly be travelling each day, which means the batteries should be charged daily, we may also be away from the boat for a few days from time to time, and solar panels should keep things like the fridge and the security system functioning – at least  in the summer.  Unfortunately, it all means the top deck is getting rather cluttered.
